What this checker shows
We ask ChatGPT, using OpenAI’s API with web search on and a US location, one question a buyer might ask: whether your brand is worth it and what real customers say. You see the answer, whether it names your brand, every source it cites, and which of those sources are Reddit threads.
It’s one question on one assistant, so treat it as a snapshot. Answers change with wording, location and time.
What it doesn’t show
Whether the answer is right. In our Factor case study, assistants repeated claims that the Reddit threads they cited didn’t support.
